For more information on Roadmunk Fields see the article.
Date - This is set as a numerical date from the drop-down calendar.
Free Form - This can be any data value to associate with an item. Numbers, URLs or text can all be used.
List - This creates a list for each item from which one value can be selected.
Multi-select list - A multi-select column can select multiple values for each roadmap item. For more information on using multi-select fields see the article here.
Note: Only list or multi-select fields are be available in the timeline and swimlane views.
List fields provide one selectable option. The field Status, has values that will be imported: In Progress, In Design, and Backlog.
The different values in a column should be separated with a delimiter and should be kept distinct using quotation marks. The field Business Group has many values. The delimiter is a comma , and the quotations marks "" separate each value.
After selecting a CSV file the next step is the Field Mapping screen. This is the second stage of the Import process.
Roadmunk fields are the preset fields with values that can be imported.
Item is the only field that is mandatory when mapping fields. Without items, nothing can be displayed in a roadmap.
Fields should be matched and aligned according to the CSV columns that are displayed directly below.
Roadmunk will automatically detect the type of field. To confirm or to change the type use the drop-down menu.
These are fields taken from the column headers of the CSV. They should match desired field type in the above Roadmunk fields.
Changing the header will select a different data column. This way, data can be imported in any order.
This indicates the date formatting used in the imported CSV. Roadmunk will automatically detect the date format used. The correct format means the Start Date and End Date will display correctly. Date separators can be a dash, space, slash, or period.
Roadmunk recognises many date formats:
Select from the drop-down menu if the format detected is different from the one used.
- All dates imported must use the same date formatting.
- Roadmunk only accepts dates after 2010 and before 2040.
