Known Issues - Outdated Browsers & Cached Data

If you are experiencing performance issues in Roadmunk, they may potentially be caused by an outdated browser or old Roadmunk code in your browser cache. The steps shown below will help you to remedy this issue and confirm whether this was the root cause of this roadblock.

Update to the Latest Browser Version

Roadmunk officially supports the 2 most recently released versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari. While past browser versions may be able to support Roadmunk, the performance and security limitations of those outdated versions may prevent certain elements from displaying properly. Updates can be triggered from the Settings menu on Firefox, Edge, and Chrome, and from your System Software Update tool in both the Mac and Windows operating systems for Edge and Safari respectively. Refreshing your Browser

If you still experience problems, try refreshing your browser. If the issue persists, we recommend trying a Hard Reload by following the steps below:

1. With your browser open, right-click anywhere on your screen
2. Select Inspect from the bottom of your right-click menu
3. Once the Inspector panel loads, right-click on the Refresh button in your browser's navigation bar
4. Select Empty Cache and Hard Reload from the refresh options menu

Clearing your Browser Cache

If you find that you are still experiencing significant lag or performance issuse, we would recommend that you clear your browser cache by following these steps to clearing all cached files and cookies.

Instructions for Google Chrome & Microsoft Edge

1. From your browser, click into the Settings menu in the top-right corner.
2. In the settings list, click into the History option and select the History/Show Full History option at the top of the menu that appears.
3. From the History page, select Clear Browsing Data from the options on the left-hand side. This should take you to separate settings menu and a modal should pop up.
4. In this modal, click over to the Advanced tab and deselect everything except for the Cookies and Cache options.
5. For the Timespan, set it to cover All Historical Data on the browser.
6. Once the settings are correct, you can click the Clear Data button at the bottom of the menu to clear your cache and cookies.

Instructions for Mozilla Firefox

1. From your browser, click into the Settings menu in the top-right corner.
2. In the list of options, click into Preferences to load the browser preferences window.
3. In the left-hand menu, click into Privacy & Security and scroll down on this page to find the Cookies and Site Data section.
4. Select the Clear Data option - Cookies and Cache should be pre-selected in the modal that appears on the screen.
5. Click the Clear button at the bottom of the menu to clear your cache and cookies.

Instructions for MacOS Safari

1. With your browser open, click into the Safari option on your system's top-menu.
2. In this drop down, select the Preferences option to load your browser preferences modal.
3. From the list of options along the top of the modal, click into the Privacy option.
4. Click into the Manage Website Data button on the Privacy page. A new modal with a list of websites that have stored data in the browser will appear on top of your Preferences menu.
5. Once the list is finished loading, select the Remove All button to clear your cache and cookies.
